I asked Slate if dashboard speakers were the only audio option, and at first they said yes, mentioning dash speakers were standard in the single cab and that theyre exploring upgrades like door mounts and subwoofers. But they later corrected themselves, confirming that the Slate doesn't actually come with any built-in speakers or audio system at all.. it's entirely up to the buyer to install their own setup. Thoughts?

I was looking into the Slate too and assumed it had at least basic audio! Turns out it's designed to be super modular, so you can mount your own Bluetooth speaker or even install a dash soundbar if you want something more built-in.

No speakers at all? well, yeah, that's definitely a choice. I guess it's great if you're a hardcore audiophile who wants a totally custom build, but for the average person, that seems like a huge hassle and an unexpected cost for a brand new vehicle
