You’ve likely been keeping tabs on the pre-orders and announcements for the new Slate Auto truck, so you understand that battery size and weight are vital for performance and range. I want to know your thoughts, do you think Slate should stick with a big single-pack battery, or would it be wiser to go for modular, swap-ready multiple-pack options? Consider aspects like cost, weight, and how usable it is in real life, what do you think is the best choice?

I've used power tools, and modular setups are just more useful. I've had big batteries die in the middle of a job such a pain. With smaller packs, you just swap them and get back to work. Seems like it'd work for trucks, too.

I supervised delivery vans that sat around forever when the big battery needed charging. That’s why I'm thinking several smaller packs makes sense. You could swap one, balance the weight better, and not sit around forever waiting for a full charge. It might cost more at the start, but the flexibility would be worth it.
