Caught this "original" 2-seater pickup sitting in Denton, TX today. Cool little survivor, but let's be real... you'd have to be brave to run one of these as a daily in 2025 traffic. No airbags, no crash zones, and the turning radius of a city bus. That said, I can't deny the charm. Trucks like this stand out more now than ever, especially surrounded by bloated modern SUVs. Makes me wonder: are they worth the hassle for actual use, or are they strictly nostalgia machines at this point?

yep, totally agree with you about the safety. My uncle has a truck from that era, and it's basically a steel box on wheels with a steering column pointed at your chest lol
In today's traffic, where everything is an SUV or a crossover, a classic like that is a magnet for a bad day. They're amazing for a cruise to a car show or a trip to the local hardware store, but as a daily driver?
The peace of mind alone isn't worth it. It's a nostalgia machine, for sure
