I heard from auto news that the Slate will be built in Indiana with mostly U.S.-made parts, even the battery. I feel it could beat the Model Y as the most American-made ride.

True that! It's rare to see an EV designed with affordability and simplicity in mind, and Slate is taking a different approach by stripping out unnecessary tech and keeping costs low. Whether it surpasses the Model Y in American-made content depends on the sourcing details, but it's shaping up to be one of the most homegrown EVs available.

Finally, someone doing it right, if slate really pulls this off with U.S. made parts and the battery, that's a huge deal, its honestly about time we got a competent EV contender that isn't glued together with overseas supply chains, I hope it can give the model Y a run and keep the jobs here, I say bring it on

Yeah, I love that Slate's focusing on affordability and simplicity, if they nail quality with mostly U.S. parts, it could really shake up the EV market and challenge the Model Y.

Yuppie, bringing jobs back and using U.S.-made parts is huge, and if Slate delivers on that promise, it could seriously change the game and finally give the Model Y some real competition
