So a buddy offered to make me 3D printed custom accessories. He's been in the business for a couple of years but now he wants to make ones for vehicles.

I'm curious if anyone here has done this and what exactly did you have 3D printed for your truck? We're trying to get ideas that won't require heavy mods, something a bit more straightforward but also not as basic as a cupholder if you know what I mean.

Looking forward to hearing from you all! Thanks in advance!

I've had a few things printed over the years, phone mounts, dash organizer trays, switch panels, even clips for tonneau covers. One buddy printed a custom mount for his air compressor controller that fit perfectly in the console.

For 3D printing vehicle accessories, think practical but unique, like custom mounts, switch panels, storage trays, or phone/tablet holders. Avoid overly basic items, but choose heat-, UV-, and vibration-resistant materials so they last in a truck environment

3D printing truck parts sounds cool, but let's be real, most guys slap on gimmicky accessories that break quick. Unless it's functional like mounts or brackets, you're just adding plastic clutter for looks

Think about adding things like 3D-printed bed liners, phone holders, or tool organizers. These extras can make your truck more useful without a lot of work. It's a cool mix of getting things done and new ideas.
