Apple CarPlay Ultra on Slate Auto?

I've been thinking of getting the Apple CarPlay Ultra when I get a new ride. I think it's incredible, and the fact that it can take over all the screens, including the instrument cluster, and integrate with car functions like climate and radio makes things a lot simpler and efficient. Is this something that could be integrated into our Slate Auto cars, either through a software update or a new head unit? The idea of having a seamless UI across all the displays, while still keeping the car's aesthetic, is exactly what I've been looking for. Would love to hear if anyone knows anything about this or if the developers have any plans for it.

AFAIK, right now, you can't use it in any car. Even Apple hasn't said which automaker is going to use it first.

Doubt it. CarPlay Ultra needs deep integration with the vehicle's CAN bus to run climate, cluster, etc. That's not a "download an update" deal. Unless Slate partners directly with Apple, aftermarket isn't going to magically unlock that.
