bigger isn't always better, right? the Slate Auto big battery adds serious weight for an extra 90 miles of range
if the horsepower and torque stay the same, you're essentially just slowing the truck down for range, you might not even need
I’m sticking with the smaller battery to keep the truck light, fun, and capable for daily hauling
who else is prioritizing payload and handling over long distance range?

I'll be using the base battery for a lot of of those same reasons. EV is not a road trip vehicle for me
I think the reduced weight, longer tire life, and better drivability will be well worth it

I'm excited to see the Slate in action, but I'm betting on the smaller battery. Keeping it light keeps it fun, and for most people, the real-world range is already plenty.

I think the smaller battery pack is the way to go. Less weight means more fun, and being able to haul things every day is what's important. That extra range just sounds like extra weight that you don't need.
