You’ve probably envisioned it connecting a trailer in the chilly weather, snow underfoot, the heater blasting away, and thinking about how the soon-to-be-released Slate Auto truck will tackle towing in those conditions. Will it cruise steadily on icy roads, or will it have a tough time like some rigs? Let’s brainstorm our ideas and expectations for its winter towing abilities.

I’ve dealt with some rough winters while towing, and I’m intrigued. After one icy trip where my old truck was sliding everywhere, I’m really hoping Slate performs better in cold-weather towing

Last winter, I dragged a small trailer through a snowstorm, and my current truck struggled on every hill. That experience makes me wonder if Slate’s setup will provide better traction and smarter power when the roads are slick.

A few years ago, I had to tow a utility trailer along frozen backroads, and my truck spent the entire trip fighting for grip. Since then, I’ve kept an eye on how new trucks claim to offer winter stability. If Slate has strong traction control and torque management, it could really shine in icy conditions.

I've seen trailers fishtail on packed snow before, so winter towing always catches my attention. If Slate can keep everything stable and predictable, it’s bound to win over a lot of people quickly.
