Saw Slate Motors' Slate EV Pickup while browsing online and it got me thinking. I drive around LA a lot and want something electric that's not crazy expensive. So this modular thing where the truck can turn into an SUV with different parts, that sounds awesome, if it really works. I read they started the company in secret too, which is kind of cool.

To anyone here that owns one, what made you pick it? Does the battery last a while? Does the body hold up well over time? Would love to hear from real drivers.

I'm really excited about that modular design as well. There's something just so practical and innovative about it. I'd also would love to hear more about how well it performs in terms of range and build quality, though.

Yeah, the modular setup sounds super practical especially for city life, have you looked into how easy the swaps between truck and SUV modes actually are, or if it affects the overall durability long-term?

Owners of the Slate EV Pickup really value its affordability and versatile design, which gives them the option of either a 150-mile or an extended 240-mile range. This vehicle gets high marks for its sturdiness and practicality, although regular maintenance is suggested to keep it in top shape. A lot of folks consider it a dependable option for everyday driving in LA, and they love the ability to customize it to suit their needs.
