People love to toss around ideas about battery packs, sensors, or some kind of drivetrain sorcery.
After hearing a bunch of different thoughts, I’m really curious what’s your wildest theory about what’s actually going on under there?
I’d love to hear your best guesses!

While I’m eagerly waiting for the Slate Auto to finally make its debut, I can’t help but joke that it’s running some kind of secret efficiency brain that decides when to save energy. The real answer? It’s probably just smart sensors and software doing their thing but imagining a tiny wizard under the hood pulling levers is way more fun.

I’ve definitely read way too many rumors about the Slate, and now I can’t shake the image of the drivetrain as a jittery robot constantly haggling with the battery. Sure, it’s just software, sensors, and torque maps in reality but calling it drivetrain sorcery makes the wait a lot more entertaining.

Ever since I put in my pre-order, I’ve been convinced that Slate has some kind of alien-level energy management system tucked away in there.
The truth is, it’s probably just some clever battery management system logic and sensors.
But let’s be honest space tech sounds way cooler than well-tuned power electronics, don’t you think?
