I've been keeping an eye on Slate Auto ever since their teasers came out, mainly because I've had some bad experiences with budget brands in the past. I’m really wondering what price points and trim levels they’ll need to hit in order to truly compete. What do you think they should aim for?

I totally relate. I got a budget model a few years ago, and honestly, I spent more time trying to fix it than actually driving it. If Slate wants to make a mark, they need to keep the starting price affordable but also provide trims that feel fully equipped, not bare-bones.

After having a bad experience with a cheap brand, I’ve been keeping a close eye on Slate. I really think they should consider introducing a solid mid-range option at launch, something that feels high-quality but doesn’t hit those luxury price points. That’s where most folks are likely to compare them.
