Slate auto reservations coming soon?

I'm betting Slate Auto follows Scout Motors' playbook opening up reservations over a year before launch, I wouldn't be surprised if we can reserve this year for $400–$500 tops to build hype

It isn't clear what you mean. Slate did open up reservations, at $50. Of course the price of slate is planned to be around 1/3rd of scout's price, and a year sooner. Scout is still supposed to be 2 and a half years from actually getting vehicles to customers. My grandparents had a pair of international harvester scouts for many years.

I'm referring to the trucks, Scout Motors and Slate Auto both focus on rugged, adventure-ready pickups and given their strategy I expect Slate to open reservations early this year with a modest deposit...

Ah, thanks for the clarification, I must've missed that Slate already opened at $50! That definitely changes things, especially with their lower price point and earlier timeline compared to Scout's longer rollout
