Game changer $25k electric truck

Heard about Slate's new $25K electric truck? seems very much to me like they're trying to shake things up in the midrange electric market cos you see that price point, definitely tempting!, and if they can deliver on range and reliability, it could force the big players to rethink their strategies. I'm curious to see specs on battery life and charging speeds once they're out or is this old news cos I can be very oblivious and not up to date

Isn't Slate trucks the point of this site? I think the whole marching orders of the company is to shake things up. Give the power to the people and make EV cars cool and exciting. people love choices, and simplicity - Slate promises them that. Let's just see how the quality is when it gets here.

I think it's neat that someone is taking on the expensive EV trucks and making a practical EV truck. I like the idea of the basic truck being easily visually customizable—heck, it could even be converted to an SUV. I'm looking forward to seeing who here will be the first one to have a Slate.

I completely agree,the price is what caught my attention as well. If they can deliver on a decent range and fast charging, it might really disrupt the market. I love the concept of a straightforward, functional electric truck. Has anyone considered reserving one yet?

Considering the deposit is only $50 and fully refundable and they reported a while back 100k reservations, I'd think a signifigant part of the people who went to the trouble of making an account here have reserved. One issue may be production, how many trucks will they be producing per month in the first months, it may be a while before they get through the reservations and open to general sales.
