Adding extra battery modules and modular roof racks can really help. Good LED lights and built-in power management also make things better, a cleaner setup with more ways to be useful.

I'm a DIY guy. I'm passing on a lot of the interior Slatelets and will just 3D print my own custom storage and accessories. Slate releasing the attachment point files is genius. I'm building a custom cubby for my tools and a specific mount for my walkie talkie right on the dash rail!

I think it's a smart idea. Slate's open files let you mod things much easier. Custom dash rail mounts are a great example of something you can make with precise 3D prints.
