Slate reliability

Reliable? Depends on your bar. They're new, so we don't have ten years of data yet. Early adopters always end up being the guinea pigs for recalls and software patches. If you want peace of mind, stick with an older, proven nameplate.

Slate cars are pretty new to the car scene, so we don't have a ton of info on how well they hold up yet. People like them because they're easy to change up and don't cost too much, which is cool if you're into fixing up your ride. But since they're still a fresh face, it's tough to say how reliable they'll be down the road.

Yeah, it's definitely a solid choice for mods and budget builds. But let's be real, when it comes to long-term reliability, we still need to see some real-world miles put on them before we can fully trust them. It's a bit of a wait-and-see game right now

Great points, everyone. I'd just toss in that how dependable something is also depends on how stable the software is and if you can get parts. Newer brands often have problems with these things. Until Slate gets a better service system and can get parts easier, there's a bigger chance of things breaking down compared to older, trusted brands.
