Towing with small battery?

Hey everyone, new Slate owner here! I got the base model with the 52-kWh battery and really like it. So far, it's been great for driving around town and doing errands. But I noticed the braking feels kind of strong when slowing down, especially at low speeds. Is that normal, or does the bigger battery make it smoother?

Also wondering if anyone has used the smaller battery for towing. I pull a small trailer for yard work sometimes and want to know if it feels weaker when loaded. Thanks for any advice from anyone here that tried both!

The stronger brake bite at low speeds is normal... it's regen blending with friction brakes, not something the bigger pack smooths out. For towing, the truck won't feel "weaker," but you'll notice the smaller battery empties faster when loaded, especially if you're on hills.
